Project

The projects funded by the Series 2019A bonds constructed, repaired, and rehabilitated various flood-control dams across the state. The Conservation Commission leveraged the bond proceeds to obtain approximately $7.7 million in matching USDA federal funds designated for construction of dams which were also be applied to the project.

Proceeds from the Series 2022A bonds will be used generally for the same purpose, but specifically for high-hazard dams through and with the assistance of local conservation districts. The $17.5 million will provide the state with matching funds to access federal funds being provided by the USDA.
